My son loves playing with Shinky Dinks his current obsession is making board game pieces. I decided to get a little creative myself. It's a great way to make one of a kind pieces for less.
What will you make?

Last minute Halloween costume
My son wanted to be a Minion from the movie Despicable Me for Halloween. I
could not find overalls anywhere. I looked in 10 stores!
So I decided to take a yellow shirt and use fabric markers to make the "overalls" I then found an easy pattern for the hat and added black gloves.
I was able to make a costume for less than $10!

Halloween Fun
Autumn is by far my favorite time of year. And Halloween is just icing on the cake.
Every year my church and sons school holds a Trunk or Treat night.
It is a great way for the kids to safely collect candy and have fun. This year I decided to do something simple.
I had seen many different styles of a monster trunks on Pinterest.I took elements from a few to make it my own.
I used poster board for the teeth. Then for the eyes I found plastic plate holders, added to it some flashing lights. For the inside of the mouth a simple red plastic tablecloth.
It must of worked because we won not one but two contests! Not to shabby for a grand total of $3!
